imageHi all its the Nook National on the 19th June Round 4

Camping is available from Friday Morning earlier by arrangement.
We have a big grass field for tents so plenty of space. Maybe caravans depending on the weather.
Plaese be carefull when parking on grass as it could still be soft in places.

In line with BRCA recommendations:
Camping will be a flat rate of 10 per pitch
Saturday practice will be charged at 5 per driver.
Nook members camp and practice for free.

We do not have a catering van so make sure you bring your own food.
There are plenty of takeaways in the area for the evening.

Can you all please try to keep the noise to a minimum as we have houses backing up to track now.

There will be, as usual, a disco in the Pub on Saturday night and i would like all to support. Should be a good night.

Directions are on Nook website and Nook Facebook page. Post Code WF3 3JU
http://www.nookraceway.com

Please pm with any questions.

imageAnother great clubday on Sunday. The weather was dry and bright for the day, generating lots of grip for what was the first fully dry meeting of the year.

14 drivers booked in and qualifying got underway around 11am consisting of 2 heats of 7 drivers.

After 3 fantastic rounds, qualifying finished around 1:15pm and the finals listed was created.

Andy Blackburn and his Hormann HT3v2 was on pole, closely followed Les Darby and his Elcon Impact and Rob Beevers and this Losi Buggy.

Oliver Whittleston was the surprise package through Qualifying, making his first A-Final direct in 7th overall.

Saul Morris was on Pole for the A-Final and with 3 non runners, 4 cars started on the grid. After 7 of the scheduled minutes only 2 cars remained with car issues affecting Kerry Thorpe and Wayne Hickman with Saul Morris finally crossing the line in 1st place and taking the only bump up place to the A-Final.

And so onto the main event! All cars got a great start and while some close racing took place for all positions, after the scheduled 20 minutes, all cars finished in the place they started!

Full results can be on our results...

imageWe will be having a track maintenance day on Saturday 7th May. We will be at the track from 10am if any members can come along and help.

Jobs to be done include:
- lay new rope
- replace some fence posts
- fix sections of piple
- general weeding
- re sanding of racing line

Any help for however long you can spare would be much appreciated.

Thanks
